We need volunteers to help us make this year’s book fair successful! We mainly need help with three things:

  • Set up at the Metro on Saturday, April 23 starting around 7am and clean up after the book fair from 6 to 7pm.
  • Outreach – helping us spread the word about the book fair online, through word of mouth (tell your friends!), and putting up posters.
  • There will once again be a childcare space at the book fair. We need to staff it with volunteers! Volunteering for a shift is a solid way to show what solidarity and mutual aid can look like. And the childcare room is often a really fun space to be in. So please sign up for a shift! Email Shannon with the times you are available and we’ll work out a schedule, we would like to staff it from 10am to 6pm with at least a couple adults types in the room at all times. Let us know if you have experience with kids when you sign up so we can make sure the kids always have enough support in the room.  We are looking for toys, costumes and dress up gear, art supplies, games etc. for the space, so please let us know if you have access to any stuff like that. If you sign up for a shift, we will send out an email closer to the event letting you know where the room will be and the schedule of programming in the kids space.
